Philippine police recently seized 600 pre-registered SIM cards in a mall and arrested two Chinese suspects. These SIM cards are suspected to be used for fraud or other illegal activities, and the two individuals involved will face charges for violating the "SIM Card Registration Act."
According to police reports, law enforcement officers discovered that a store in the mall was illegally selling pre-registered SIM cards. Subsequently, the police launched a raid, confiscated 600 SIM cards on the spot, and detained two Chinese suspects.
The police stated that these SIM cards might be used for scams, cybercrimes, or other illegal activities. Under the Philippine "SIM Card Registration Act," all SIM cards must be linked to a legal identity to prevent criminals from using anonymous SIM cards for illegal activities.
The head of the Philippine Criminal Investigation Group (CIDG), Torre, emphasized that the police would continue to crack down on crimes involving the misuse of technology to ensure public safety. He stated, "This operation highlights our determination to combat tech crimes. We will remain vigilant and prevent similar cases from occurring."
Currently, the two suspects have been handed over to the relevant departments, and the case is still under further investigation.

Their shamelessness knows no bounds.
this broken-wall country
Filipinos themselves like to buy SIM cards everywhere, so why is it a crime when it comes to the Chinese? Double standards.
It's another report by the Filipinos.
So pitiful
Selling phone cards is no longer viable.
Catch a few blindly
They've started targeting the common people since there's no POGO to catch.
