Philippine BC Industry Official Agency Releases Data: Significant Revenue Growth in the First Quarter

PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco stated that from January to March 2025, the company's revenue reached 28.07 billion pesos, an 11% increase from the 25.24 billion pesos in the same period last year. The majority of the revenue came from PAGCOR's BC business, amounting to 25.52 billion pesos.

In the BC business, the largest contributions came from electronic games and electronic bingo (E-Games and E-Bingo), which generated 14.32 billion pesos, accounting for 56% of the total BC revenue; followed by licensed casinos, which brought in 8.32 billion pesos (32.6%), and casinos operated by PAGCOR themselves, contributing 2.88 billion pesos (11.31%).

Additionally, PAGCOR's operational expenses significantly decreased, dropping by 15.5% from 7.36 billion pesos last year to 6.21 billion pesos.

As a result, with both revenue growth and cost control, PAGCOR's net income reached 4.22 billion pesos, a 23% increase from 3.43 billion pesos in the same period last year.

Tengco expressed that these financial results would further enhance PAGCOR's fiscal contribution to national development. He also noted that PAGCOR will continue to innovate and strengthen regulation to ensure that its revenues truly benefit the Filipino people.
