To maintain a high-pressure crackdown on telecom network fraud crimes involving Chinese nationals in Northern Myanmar, recently, the Ministry of Public Security of China has deployed Yunnan police forces to cooperate with law enforcement agencies in Myanmar to arrest a group of suspects involved in telecom network fraud. Among them, 111 Chinese nationals (including 29 fugitives) were captured. All these suspects have now been handed over to the Chinese side, marking another significant achievement in this special operation.

Since last year, through effective police cooperation and a series of crackdowns, Myanmar's law enforcement has handed over more than 50,000 Chinese nationals suspected of fraud to China, and the situation of telecom network fraud crimes in Northern Myanmar has continuously improved. Recently, under the command of the Ministry of Public Security, Yunnan police forces and Myanmar's local law enforcement further strengthened border police cooperation. In the Fourth Special Region of Northern Shan State, they carried out a concentrated operation to clear out fraud dens, successfully arresting 283 suspects involved in cross-border telecom network fraud and seizing a large number of mobile phones, computers, and other tools used for committing crimes. Investigations revealed that these suspects were hiding in the Fourth Special Region of Northern Shan State and committed telecom network fraud through fake investment schemes, order brushing for rebates, and online dating scams, affecting victims from Zhejiang, Henan, Yunnan, and other provinces. Currently, the 111 Chinese nationals suspected of fraud and the related evidence have been smoothly handed over to the Chinese side through the Daluo Port in Menghai County, Yunnan Province, and the Menglian Port in Menglian County. They were escorted back by police from Hebei, Zhejiang, Fujian, Shandong, Henan, Yunnan, and other regions to fully investigate the cases.

A senior official from the Ministry of Public Security stated that in response to the remaining telecom network fraud criminals in Northern Myanmar who are still hoping to evade capture and resist stubbornly, the police will continue to strengthen international and border police cooperation, increase the intensity of crackdowns, and resolutely eliminate the "cancer" of telecom network fraud crimes involving Chinese nationals in Northern Myanmar, effectively safeguarding the property safety and legal rights of the public.
