Colombia.- The Risaralda Lottery announced the signing of a new pact for the legality of gambling with the municipality Santa Rosa de Cabal. Through it, the municipality of the araucarias will begin, together with the Risaralda Lottery, to carry out work focused on leading joint strategies that allow them to watch over the health resources that so far have not been perceived due to illegal gambling present in the municipality.
Paulo Gómez, municipal mayor, declared: "From the municipal administration, we want to show our certain commitment and the willingness to work together with the Risaralda Lottery on joint actions that allow us to control illegal gambling, raffles, the chance, the lottery and with this ensure the resources that from this item subsidiarily reach health. The will of our municipal administration is straightforward and has a very special importance because we recognize that there is a problem and we are willing to work for it."
The municipal pact was signed by Paulo Gómez, mayor of the municipality, and Marlon Edward Pérez Rodríguez, acting manager of the Risaralda Lottery who mentioned that "this is very good news since the municipality will be included in the program of fiscalization and legality that will allow us to provide training to all its officials, lottery and raffle sellers informally."

On the other hand, the third legality table in games of chance was held, led by the Risaralda Lottery, which included the participation of a representative from Coljuegos.
The departmental legality table in games of chance is part of the strategic plan of the Risaralda Lottery through which it seeks to generate joint actions with all the municipalities of the department and sector actors, that allows combating illegal gambling in the department. The participation of the Police and Apostar Risaralda is highlighted.
The Risaralda Lottery has led different strategies in the territory accompanying Coljuegos in the commitment to legality, an example of this was the departmental pact signed last June, training in the municipalities and the departmental tables that articulate the sector, seeking that Risaralda positively contributes to the country in reducing the figures of illegality, since it is currently estimated that at the national level approximately COP1.5 trillion (USD350.1m) are evaded to health, according to a figure given by Coljuegos.
Gerardo Bernal, manager of Illegal Operations Control at Coljuegos, said: "The area of control of illegal operations at Coljuegos has committed to delivering a message of communication and training to the communities on how the business of legal betting should be built throughout the country and this has allowed the figures for legality to be on the rise, we have had the opportunity to intervene and dismantle specific businesses as well as networks in which legality is sought to be evaded."
According to Miguel Ernesto Díaz, who coordinates the legality and fiscalization program at the Risaralda Lottery, the entity will continue the training strategies in the municipalities that have already signed the pact for legality.
