With the assistance of Continent 8 Technologies, the iGaming technology company Sportingtech has successfully completed a critical infrastructure transformation—smoothly migrating its virtualized environment from VMware to the Nutanix platform.
This transformation was primarily driven by the license fee increase following Broadcom's acquisition of VMware. It is reported that this acquisition led to a surge in related service costs by up to 42%. To address this challenge, Sportingtech decided to collaborate with its long-term technology partner, Nutanix's official authorized service provider Continent 8.
The entire migration process was managed by Continent 8, achieving "zero service interruption" and ensuring the continuous stability of Sportingtech's operations.
Sportingtech's Chief Technology Officer, Michael Jack, stated: "We are committed to optimizing customer solutions and controlling cost expenditures. Continent 8 has demonstrated high professionalism in this regard. They not only brought tangible improvements in cost and efficiency but also ensured a seamless migration that protected the customer experience, fully reflecting their importance as a strategic partner."
Continent 8's Chief Product Officer, Justin Cosnett, also noted: "With our deep experience in VMware, Nutanix, and multi-cloud architectures, we provide customized managed and professional services to our clients, allowing them to focus on revenue-generating activities. The success of this project not only achieved significant cost savings but also further strengthened our partnership with Sportingtech."
It is worth mentioning that Continent 8 will also extend its partnership with another iGaming giant, Playtech, to 20 years, continuing to provide hosting, cloud services, network connectivity, and cybersecurity solutions.
