The American gambling operator Fanatics Betting & Gaming has recently officially entered the Philippine market, partnering with Claymore Solutions, marking a key step for the Philippines in promoting legal and regulated gambling support services. This partnership not only injects vitality into the Philippine gambling industry but is also seen as an important signal for the country's transformation into a global hub for gambling backend services.
Claymore Solutions specializes in providing backend support services for gambling companies with international licenses, including human resources, payroll management, and office spaces, but does not directly participate in betting or fund handling. Operating in Taguig City, Claymore can provide complete recruitment process outsourcing as well as support clients in establishing their own talent management teams.
One background of this partnership is the Philippine government's termination of the offshore gambling operator (POGO) licensing system, which resulted in about 40,000 Filipinos losing their jobs. Claymore hopes to provide more stable and compliant employment opportunities locally by serving legally licensed global operators, mitigating the impact of the industry transformation.
Claymore was founded in 2023 by Paul Fox and Nathan Kinsella, while Fanatics entered the gambling market in 2021 and has rapidly expanded in the United States. Its Fanatics Sportsbook recently launched in New York and completed launches in three states within a week. This move into the Philippines indicates that its global operation strategy is steadily progressing.
Paul Fox, Chairman and Co-founder of Clayore, stated: "We will create thousands of quality jobs in the Philippines by providing support to the world's leading gambling operators. We appreciate the attention of President Marcos and the continuous support of PAGCOR, especially Chairman Al Tengco, whose vision drives the Philippines to become a globally trusted center for gambling support."
The cooperation between Fanatics and Claymore not only enhances the Philippines' position in the global gambling industry chain but also provides a positive example for industry transformation, regulatory upgrades, and employment growth.
