According to Thai media reports, the director of the third division of the Thailand Immigration Bureau, together with the Chonburi Immigration Office, Pattaya Police, and local administrative officials, deployed over 50 law enforcement officers to conduct a raid on an eight-story residential building in the center of Pattaya, Soi Sukhumvit. The operation successfully dismantled an illegal entertainment hub controlled by a Chinese gang, arresting more than 40 suspects on the scene.
It is reported that the building was originally a high-end apartment, later completely renovated by a Chinese "grey industry" group to operate an underground chain of "casino + telecommunications fraud + KTV". The entire building was divided into more than 50 rooms, with a reception area on the first floor, and the second floor equipped with gambling tables, bundles of chips, dice, and other gambling tools. During the raid, intense betting was underway, with many Chinese gamblers betting around the tables in a highly charged atmosphere.
Further searches by the police revealed that some floors had been converted into centers for telecommunication fraud operations, used for remote scam activities; other rooms were transformed into luxurious KTV suites, where Thai women were arranged to accompany Chinese clients for "relaxation and entertainment". The illegal activities were comprehensive, forming a complete grey industry chain.
Currently, law enforcement has controlled over 40 Thai and Chinese nationals on the scene, and is conducting individual checks on their identities, visas, and work permits. The case has been reported to the headquarters of the Immigration Bureau for lead investigation, while also tracing the masterminds and cross-border gangs involved. Updates on the investigation will be disclosed to the public in due course.
