The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) officially launched the new "Pagcor Guarantee" platform on June 19, aimed at helping the public identify legal online gaming sites, preventing player fraud, and enhancing consumer rights protection.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro Tengco stated that the new platform's website, www.pagcor.ph/pagcorguarantee, will serve as an important tool for the public to inquire about legal online gaming operators.
"With this platform, users can verify before betting or making payments whether the gaming platform holds a valid license issued by PAGCOR," Tengco pointed out. He emphasized that this is a key measure by PAGCOR to enhance regulatory efficiency and ensure responsible operation of online gaming, as well as to combat fake websites and fraudulent activities.
According to PAGCOR, in recent years, a large number of complaints have been related to unlicensed platforms. These illegal sites often refuse to make payments after profiting, severely harming player rights and causing tax revenue losses. "Pagcor Guarantee" will serve as the first line of defense against such criminal activities.
The platform will continuously update the list of authorized operators, and the public can also directly visit the certified official websites through the link, ensuring their safety.
PAGCOR also reminds players to participate in gambling rationally, and the platform is only for use by adults over the age of 21.
As part of the agency's broader safe and responsible gambling strategy, the launch of this platform is also seen as a key progress in regulating the Philippine online gaming market and restoring public trust.
In addition, at the beginning of June, PAGCOR also donated patient transport vehicles worth 16.2 million pesos (approximately $285,000) to eight towns on Luzon Island and Palawan Island, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to social responsibility.
