The Brazilian Ministry of Finance's Secretariat of Awards and Betting (SPA) has officially granted TQJ-PAR Participações Societárias SA a fixed-odds betting operating license, allowing it to conduct online and physical betting operations in the country until December 31, 2029.
This authorization covers three brands under TQJ-PAR: Baú Bingo, Tele Sena Bet, and Bet do Milhão, all of which can operate under the sports betting framework, including online platforms and physical betting points. This license also signifies that TQJ-PAR is among the latest batch of companies to obtain legal betting qualifications in Brazil.
According to regulatory requirements, each betting license requires a payment of 30 million Brazilian Reais (approximately 5.4 million US dollars), and operators can operate up to three websites under the official ".bet.br" domain. TQJ-PAR was approved under the SIGAP procedure number 0055/2024, joining a gradually expanding regulated market.
Since the formal legalization of the Brazilian betting industry in January 2025, government regulation has continued to tighten. SPA recently collaborated with the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel) and has shut down over 5,200 illegal betting websites, intensifying efforts to combat unlicensed operations.
Currently, 35 companies have obtained official fixed-odds betting licenses, with another 69 companies in the application or temporary permit stage. The approval of TQJ-PAR marks another progress in the official promotion of legalization and strengthening of market order.
Brazil's fixed-odds betting system was established based on Law No. 13,756 of 2018 and further improved by Law No. 14,790 of 2023, covering operational safety, anti-money laundering compliance, and responsible gambling among other regulations. SPA is currently continuously releasing license progress updates and expects to announce more compliant company lists in the coming months.
With the advancement of compliance audits and licensing processes, the inclusion of TQJ-PAR will help Brazil build a more orderly, transparent, and regulated sports betting ecosystem.
