Genius Sports officially announces the renewal and expansion of its data and streaming partnership with the sports betting platform provider First, aiming to further expand its influence in Latin America, especially in the Brazilian market. This collaboration not only strengthens the existing relationship between the two parties, but also marks the first time First has been granted authorization by Genius Sports to become its official betting partner.
Under the agreement, Genius Sports will continue to provide First with official sports betting data and high-definition video streams, which First will then distribute to global operators through its B2B network. The collaboration covers a wide range of competitions, including Brazil's Serie A, Serie B, the São Paulo state league, Mexico's Super League, and top events in Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, and Colombia.
With Brazil's regulatory system continuously improving and user interest remaining high, Genius Sports considers the country as a strategic focus in Latin America. The new agreement not only helps to enhance its data penetration in the region but also supports First in establishing a stronger distribution influence in emerging markets.
Tom Light, CEO of First, stated: "Our long-term cooperation with Genius Sports has been significantly effective. This renewal will help us continue to expand our network while bringing more benefits to Genius Sports."
Genius Sports is also actively expanding into the esports sector, having partnered with Grid Esports in March to acquire real-time data and streaming services for games such as League of Legends, Valorant, and Dota 2. The company's revenue reached $510.9 million in 2024, a 24% increase year-over-year, but it currently faces legal challenges including an antitrust lawsuit filed by Panda Interactive.
This deepened cooperation with First signifies Genius Sports' continued bet on high-growth markets and consolidates its leadership in both traditional sports and emerging esports data domains.
