The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) recently issued formal warnings to several companies providing online gambling services to Australian users illegally, further strengthening the enforcement of the "Interactive Gambling Act".
The named operators include Australia Internet Pokies, which guides users to unlicensed gambling platforms through websites such as "Best Australian Slots" and places ads specifically targeting the Australian market.
Bamboo Media's Ignition Casino, Consolutetish SRL's National Casino and Bizzo Casino, as well as Dama NV's RocketPlay and Level Up Casino, were warned by ACMA for providing casino services and in-play betting without holding an Australian legal license. Dama NV was issued two warnings, reflecting its ongoing non-compliance.
Additionally, ACMA has also targeted gambling platforms related to video games. Gamusoft LP's CSGOFast and Moontain Ltd's Skin.Club were identified as providing illegal "luck-based" and skill-based gambling, creating gambling risks for Australian players.
ACMA stated that this action is to strengthen consumer protection, block the advertising penetration and market activities of illegal platforms. The regulatory body will continue to block related websites and urge users to stay away from unlicensed gambling services.
