The Philippines Bureau of Immigration recently issued new regulations requiring all foreigners holding long-term visas—including 13A marriage visas and 9G work visas holders—to complete an Annual Report before leaving the country, otherwise, they will be prohibited from departing!
The authorities emphasize that this process is not voluntary but mandatory, applicable to all foreign nationals residing in the Philippines long-term. Although on-site processing channels have now been opened at Manila and some airports, the Bureau strongly recommends that travelers complete the procedures online in advance to avoid any unforeseen situations affecting their travel.
According to the official announcement, the following two tools accounts must be prepared in advance for processing:
Google Meet—for online video identity verification;
GCash account—for online payment of the annual report fees.
The Bureau of Immigration clearly states that any attempt to ignore this procedure may result in being unable to board the plane on the day, even if holding a valid visa and ticket. To ensure a smooth departure, travelers must cooperate in completing identity verification and fee payment.
Foreign residents with plans to travel abroad soon are reminded that completing the annual report early is a crucial step to ensure that their itinerary is not delayed. Do not miss your schedule due to overlooking details and get "stuck" at the airport.
