A major arrest operation was recently carried out in the 105-yard area of northern Shan State, Muse, Myanmar, where the "Fire Dragon" combat zone under the Arakan Army (AA) apprehended 11 Chinese nationals suspected of engaging in telecommunications fraud, and they were successfully handed over to China through the border port on August 6.

Myanmar media reported that these suspects were captured on July 27 in the jungles near the 105-yard area. Insiders revealed that this arrest operation was independently conducted by the AA "Fire Dragon" combat zone and was not related to the territories controlled by the Brotherhood Alliance.

The 105-yard area, a trade zone and military camp along the China-Myanmar border, was previously occupied by the Brotherhood Alliance during the first wave of the "1027 Operation". Although telecommunication fraud activities have significantly decreased within the alliance's territories, some remote areas still harbor scam gangs.

In June this year, the police of the Palaung State Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA) also captured 12 Chinese nationals suspected of telecom fraud and legally handed them over to the Chinese side.

The successive actions by various armed forces in northern Myanmar indicate a continued regional effort to intensify the crackdown on transnational telecommunications fraud, aiming to maintain the security of the China-Myanmar border and protect the interests of the people of both countries. Investigations related to the case are still ongoing.
