Media interviewed the new Managing Director of Casinos Austria International (CAI), Per Jaldung, discussing his strategies, challenges, and visions for the company's global operations.

Since 2023, Jaldung has been the CEO of Grand Casino Brussels Viage, previously serving as the CEO of Casino Cosmopol in Sweden for 14 and a half years, and was also the chairman of the European Casino Association. He started his career as a police officer in Stockholm and worked at the Swedish National Criminal Investigation Department.

Regarding his new role at CAI, Jaldung stated that his primary task is to enhance the performance of existing operations while seeking international expansion opportunities, and ensuring that all casinos maintain high standards in customer experience, compliance, and financial performance. He emphasized that with the capabilities of the team at Grand Casino Brussels, he is able to delegate operational management and focus on driving CAI's strategic development, while still being involved in key decisions in Brussels.

Discussing the challenges of managing an international investment portfolio, Jaldung highlighted, "Each market has its unique regulations, customer preferences, and cultural expectations. My focus is on building strong local relationships, respecting cultural differences, while ensuring all operations reflect CAI's high standards."

On the topic of hot technology trends in the industry, he mentioned: cashless payments should retain hybrid options to accommodate urban disruptions and customer preferences; artificial intelligence should focus on enhancing fraud detection, customer service, and responsible gambling, but avoid infringing on privacy or completely replacing human interaction; personalized services are worth investing in, improving experiences through responsible data use while respecting privacy. He stressed that technology cannot replace the passion and face-to-face interaction of staff: "Never forget, it is the passionate hospitality and professional spirit of the staff that make physical casinos unique."

Jaldung's philosophy shows that CAI's success in the global market depends on balancing innovative technology with cultural adaptation, and continuously providing high-quality customer experiences.
