Cambodia's Kampong Speu province recently launched a large-scale crackdown in the Bokor Mountain area! Authorities, in collaboration with the police, gendarmerie, and courts, raided multiple scam dens, breaking four major cases, arresting 17 suspects involved in tele-fraud, murder, and human trafficking, and successfully rescuing more than ten South Korean victims, thoroughly exposing the dark industry chain hidden in Bokor Mountain.
In the first case, the police raided the Villa Crown area of Bokor Mountain, seizing 301 mobile phones, 39 computers, and several tablets, capturing 3 suspects, and are currently pursuing the mastermind behind the scenes.
The second case occurred on August 10, when a Chinese man, Song Jinxin (born in 1992), was brutally murdered, and his body was found inside a car. The police traced the case to a scam building, arresting 4 suspects and seizing 35 scamming mobile phones, while rescuing more than ten South Korean victims.
In the third case, the Kampong Speu Provincial Court issued arrest warrants, pursuing 5 suspects involved in tele-fraud and murder, including 4 Chinese men and 1 Burmese suspect, all core members of the scam team, stationed in Bokor Mountain for network security and operations work.
The fourth case targeted a human trafficking gang, with the police capturing 5 suspects, including 4 Chinese nationals, featuring key figures "Lao Qin" and "Jin".
This operation is part of a nationwide anti-tele-fraud crackdown that began on July 14 in Cambodia. Authorities warn that transnational crimes such as tele-fraud, kidnapping, and human trafficking have deeply infiltrated Bokor Mountain, posing a severe security situation. The rectification efforts will continue to deepen, leaving no escape for criminals.
