Banijay Entertainment released its FY 2025 results, with the gaming segment's revenue increasing 10.2% to 1.6 billion euros, of which sports betting accounted for 76%. Despite the lack of major sports events in 2025, CEO François Riahi was satisfied with the 6.8% growth in sports betting. In plain terms, it means that even without major competitions, there was growth, proving a solid foundation. The company is now fully preparing for the World Cup in June, with the integration of Tipico, acquired last October, to start after the tournament.

World Cup Priority: Two Major Strategies Not in Conflict
Riahi stated at the financial report meeting that the current primary task of the gaming department is to prepare for the World Cup, not the integration of Tipico. The biennial major tournaments are key windows to enhance user engagement and revenue, with the World Cup having a greater impact than the European Championship. The company positions Tipico as a "booster," but has already announced that integration will not start before the World Cup. Currently, the Tipico team is fully developing new app features, preparing thoroughly for the tournament.
Côte d'Ivoire iGaming Launch, French Tax Pressure
In 2025, the gaming business saw a 23% increase in unique active players, with cross-sales between betting and iGaming improving. iGaming revenue reached 249 million euros, accounting for 16% of total gaming revenue. The company successfully launched iGaming in Côte d'Ivoire, and its self-operated online poker platform in France has also been launched, with poker accounting for 7% of the gaming segment. Increased French taxes brought some pressure, with total gaming and entertainment business taxes reaching 142.5 million euros, up 29% year-on-year. However, through strict cost management, the adjusted EBITDA profit margin of the gaming department still increased by 0.6 percentage points to 26.7%. Marketing expenses were controlled at 6%-8% of total revenue, with the increase in French advertising tax partially offsetting the input.
Entertainment Business Expansion: Acquisition of All3Media
Following the acquisition of Tipico in the gaming segment, Banijay's streaming business also made a move at the beginning of 2026, acquiring All3Media this week. The company stated that this transaction will "increase penetration in global streaming platforms, while accelerating IP monetization through digital and live adaptations." Banijay will hold a public meeting on March 26 to elaborate on the future strategic roadmap of Tipico and Betclic business. Want to know the latest trends of the global gambling entertainment giant?
