The opening ceremony featured a grand ribbon-cutting ceremony, hosted by John Busuttil, the Maltese Ambassador to China, Emily Micallef, CEO of SiGMA Group, and Neil Shih, Managing Director of SiGMA Asia. Before the ribbon-cutting, Busuttil delivered a speech, officially kicking off the conference.
The third Asian conference scales up, with over a hundred international exhibitors making their appearance
Since its first landing in the Asian market in 2023, SiGMA Asia has become an important gaming industry event in the region. This year marks the third edition of the conference in the Philippines, attracting global gaming operators, technology developers, investment institutions, and policymakers.
After the opening ceremony, guests were invited to visit the exhibition halls set up on two floors of the convention center, where hundreds of international companies showcased their latest products and solutions. The exhibition area also featured multifunctional communication zones and thematic forum areas, providing a space for in-depth face-to-face interactions for industry executives, entrepreneurs, and regulatory representatives.
The agenda covers regulatory and technology trends, shaping the future landscape of gaming in Asia
The conference schedule will continue until June 4, during which multiple keynote speeches, panel discussions, and roundtable discussions will be held, covering topics such as gaming regulation development, artificial intelligence and blockchain technology applications, digital entertainment platform innovation, cross-border operational strategies, and investment prospects in the Asia-Pacific region.
The backgrounds of the participants are diverse, ranging from gaming companies to financial technology firms, to legal consulting and payment service providers, reflecting the increasingly diverse and integrated development of the gaming ecosystem.
The charity dinner draws attention, with the SiGMA Foundation auction raising funds for public welfare
Before the official conference began, a grand award ceremony and charity dinner were held on Monday evening, not only recognizing companies and individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the gaming and technology fields over the past year but also raising funds for the SiGMA Foundation through an auction.
The auction proceeds will be used entirely to support the foundation's global projects in education, infrastructure, and medical assistance, demonstrating the gaming industry's pursuit of commercial value while also promoting the fulfillment of social responsibilities.
The Asia-Pacific market continues to heat up, with Manila becoming a regional strategic focus
The ongoing hosting of SiGMA Asia signifies that Manila, particularly, is increasingly becoming a key hub connecting the Asian and global gaming technology industries. With its geographical advantages, open policies, and large local market, Manila's strategic position in the global gaming landscape is increasingly prominent.
The SiGMA Group stated that it will continue to deepen cooperation with Asian countries, promote more cross-border projects, and continue to play the role of an industry bridge at the conference, driving the sustainable development and innovative transformation of the global gaming technology industry.
