Expanse Studios has officially obtained the iGaming operation certification issued by the Croatian Ministry of Finance, marking the studio's first successful entry into the EU's regulated gambling market. Its collision game "Super Heli" has become the first game approved for release in Croatia.
In addition to "Super Heli," another 56 games under Expanse are currently undergoing the approval process, and are expected to receive permissions from EU member states in the coming weeks. This move lays a solid foundation for the studio's market expansion in Croatia.
The Croatian online gambling market is expected to reach $484.7 million in revenue by 2024 and is projected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 8.4% until 2030. Factors driving this growth include increased internet penetration, a surge in tourist numbers following entry into the Schengen Area, and regular online gambling participation by over 500,000 local residents.
According to research by iGamingToday, the Croatian gambling market is expected to exceed 720 million euros (about $850 million) by 2025. Notably, the 7777 brand has entered the Croatian market in May this year through a partnership with SuperSport.
Damjan Stamenkovic, CEO of Expanse Studios, stated: "This certification is not only key to market access but also a recognition of our content quality and compliance capabilities in the EU's strict regulatory environment. We are looking forward to the Croatian market and will bring more exciting games in the future."
