The 2025 SBC Summit will be held on September 16 at the Lisbon International Exhibition Center (FIL), featuring for the first time a dedicated Emerging Markets segment focusing on the African betting market, to deeply explore the rapid development and potential opportunities of the African gaming industry.

This Africa-focused session includes five targeted discussions, covering mature markets such as South Africa and Nigeria, to emerging ones like Ghana and Tanzania. Industry leaders will share practical strategies, covering key topics such as regulatory responses, community engagement, and growth driven by mobile technology.

SBC Founder and CEO Rasmus Sojmark said: "The African betting market is both full of potential and often misunderstood. This special session will bring together experts familiar with the African market to promote candid and pragmatic exchanges."

The opening topic "African Leaders Panel: Expanding Horizons" will invite executives from 888AFRICA, Bonmoja, Super Group, and Kingmakers to discuss building trust between operators and regulatory bodies, strengthening community ties, and expanding market boundaries, chaired by the Chairman of Meridianbet.

"The Mobile Continent: African Sports Betting Technology" will focus on how mobile-first platforms drive the growth of sports betting, discussing how the proliferation of smartphones and mobile payment ecosystems can enhance user engagement and revenue, with insights shared by guests from Bonmoja, Kwiff, and Growe.

"Regulating Africa: Putting Players First" forum invites regulatory heads from Nigeria, South Africa, and Botswana to discuss compliance development and player protection.

"Marketing to Africa: Breaking the Mold" explores how to create marketing strategies that fit local cultures to better attract a diverse audience, with executives from Leverage, Logifuture, Betwinner Affiliates, and E2 Communications sharing their experiences.

This focus on Africa is an important part of the SBC Summit's Emerging Markets topics, with subsequent sessions on the Eurasian, Middle Eastern, and Asian gaming markets on September 17 and 18, and global market discussions covering North America, Western Europe, and Latin America throughout the three days of the summit.
