The iGaming Legacy Awards will make their debut at the SiGMA startup pitch competition in September 2025, with a live event at the Startup Village of SiGMA Euro-Med. Founded by Sarah Micallef, the awards aim to recognize individuals and projects in the global gaming industry that not only create commercial value but also drive positive change and have a lasting impact.
The platform has already received support from major media partner Focus Gaming News, creative partner Pyaza (led by Mark Grech), and community partner the Malta iGaming Network (represented by Glenn Debattista). Through these collaborations, the awards have made donations to local Maltese charities, including shelters for domestic violence and mental health advocacy organizations like the Richmond Foundation.
Micallef stated that the awards are not only a symbol of honor but also a platform for empowerment, communication, and legacy, and thanked SiGMA founder Eman Pulis for his early support.
