Paraná State Lottery Agency Lottopar announced this week a technical cooperation agreement with Jogo Seguro Software, aimed at promoting responsible gambling. According to the agreement, the artificial intelligence tool "Jogo Seguro IA" will undergo a 90-day pilot test on the state-licensed gambling platforms.
According to Lottopar, the system can monitor player behavior in real-time, identify potential risk patterns, and issue alerts when detecting long-term usage or behaviors that may lead to addiction. Additionally, it can classify player risk levels as low, medium, high, or very high, and refer high-risk players to professional medical care institutions when necessary.
The development team pointed out that the system does not need to collect sensitive personal information, thus protecting privacy while providing detailed interaction and behavior reports to regulatory bodies. Lottopar will use these reports to ensure operators comply with responsible gambling standards.
This initiative reflects the growing emphasis on preventing problem gambling in the Latin American gambling market. Against the backdrop of rapid expansion of sports betting in Brazil, Lottopar hopes to strengthen its commitment to player safety and welfare through this collaboration. The challenge lies in proving that artificial intelligence is not just a symbolic measure, but a practical tool for reducing risks and maintaining market integrity.
The collaboration between Lottopar and Jogo Seguro sets an industry precedent in Paraná State for using technology to promote responsible gambling, providing a new model for future regulation and player protection.
