The Thai government recently reiterated its commitment to advancing the proposed integrated entertainment center project, planning to formally submit the relevant legislative bill to the parliament next month. Despite opposition from some political figures, particularly from the People's Party of Thailand, officials remain confident that the project will proceed as planned.

According to The Nation, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat confirmed that the entertainment complex bill will be submitted to the House of Representatives for consideration in July. Julapun admitted that despite the presence of opposition voices, the ruling coalition has enough parliamentary seats to ensure the bill passes the first reading and subsequent review processes.

Julapun expressed his confidence that the bill would be enacted within a year as planned by the government. Currently, the government is actively briefing various parliamentary committees and stakeholders to address external concerns and enhance understanding and support for the project's objectives.

The entertainment complex, as a key component of the Prime Minister's broader economic development plan, aims to promote inter-provincial investment, tourism development, and create a large number of job opportunities. Julapun reiterated the government's commitment to maintaining transparency in the project, widely soliciting public opinions, and incorporating reasonable feedback during the project's advancement.

He concluded that this development holds significant importance for Thailand's economy and society, and the government will continue to manage its progress responsibly to ensure long-term public benefits.
