The Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau of Thailand launched a raid in Buriram Province, dismantling two operational bases of the illegal online gambling sites "jack22" and "dakota99", arresting three suspects, and seizing a large number of computers and tools used in the crimes. Both sites together attracted over 55,000 members, with monthly turnovers exceeding 1.8 million Thai Baht, making them "grassroots entrepreneurial" gambling platforms.

According to the directives of the Thai Police Chief, the operation was carried out by multiple departments, targeting two residential houses in Nan Rong District. In the first round of searches, the police arrested a 28-year-old man, Kritsanakon (the owner of "dakota99") and a 22-year-old customer service representative, Mongkolchai; "dakota99" had been operational for two months, attracting nearly 3,000 members with a monthly transaction volume of nearly 300,000 Thai Baht. "jack22" had been operational for four months, attracting over 53,000 people, with a monthly turnover of 1.8 million Thai Baht.

The police subsequently successfully captured 27-year-old Nattapong at another base, who had been an administrator on multiple gambling platforms, started his own business after purchasing a system, and was eventually caught. The gang operated through online account opening, bank transfers, and automatic withdrawals, covering gambling activities such as slot machines, baccarat, lottery, and card games.

The three are now charged with organizing and inducing others to participate in unauthorized electronic gambling, and the case is still under further investigation. The police remind that starting an online site is not a "shortcut to wealth" and has been listed as a key focus of crackdowns, with "playing wild" eventually leading to failure. The authorities will continue to eradicate the online gambling chain and cut off illegal funding sources.
