The government of Equatorial Guinea has officially launched a new legal framework for online gaming, marking a new phase in the country's regulation and legalization of online gambling and gaming. The "Online Gaming, Online Betting, and Online Casino Licensing Framework" provides clear guidelines for international gaming operators, focusing on industry integrity, player rights, and compliant operations. The framework specifies the application process, compliance standards, and financial obligations, promoting the standardized development of the industry.
The license management company Mascott Capital Partners has obtained the main license for online gaming in Equatorial Guinea, becoming the official designated licensing application platform. Multinational operators can submit their license applications through this platform, where Mascott Capital Partners and its authorized partners will use a proprietary system to centrally manage all international licenses.
The Minister of Tourism and Tourism Infrastructure, Antonio Pedro Oliveira Brupo, stated: "The launch of the online gambling regulatory framework is a historic and significant move by the Equatorial Guinea gambling regulatory authority. Mascott Capital Partners' digital platform will provide efficient support for online gaming license applications."
He added: "This not only enhances Equatorial Guinea's position as a recognized jurisdiction for remote online gambling and gaming businesses but also promotes economic diversification, attracts international digital investments, boosts consumer confidence, and positions Equatorial Guinea as a preferred destination in the international iGaming field."
The release of this legal framework demonstrates Equatorial Guinea's commitment to actively embracing the digital gambling industry, strengthening regulatory compliance and market openness, and helping to create a transparent, fair, and attractive online gambling environment.
